Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on
26 August 2002, is a popular American musician and singer. The single he
released in 2019 "Ransom", was his breakout hit. It reached number 4
on the Billboard Hot 100. The mixtape he released as his debut We Love You
Tecca (2019) included the hit single. It reached 4 on the US Billboard 200. The
mixtape also included the singles "Love Me", "Did It Again"
and "Did It Again". The album he released as his debut studio album
called"Virgo" (2020) was released at number 10 on the Billboard 200.
It also included the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "Dolly"
and "When You Down". The second mixtape "We Love You Tecca
2", came out in August 2021. It featured "Repeat It" as well as
"Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe is an Jamaican native,
immigrated to the United States in Queens on the 26th of August 2002. Sharpe
was born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, and then moved to Cedarhurst on Long
Island. Sharpe was a young man with ambitions to become a basketball player,
however Sharpe shifted his focus towards music at the age of twelve. Sharpe was
a student at Lawrence High School. Tecca was nine years old at the time, was
rapping along with his classmates with his Xbox to record. One of their tracks
about diss was posted to SoundCloud several years ago, but was later removed.
At first, he didn't have plans to pursue a career in music however, he had a
dream of becoming an NBA superstar. When he was in middle school however, he
began to become bored with basketball and began to take music seriously. The
first track to become well-known, "Tectri", was made by Lil Gummybear
in partnership with Lil Gummybear and released in the beginning of 2017. Other
tracks by Tecca comprise "Callin" as well as "Tectri". The
hit song of his "Ransom," which was first posted to Cole Bennett's
Lyrical lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd in 2019, was the start of the
meteoric rise of Tecca. The song peaked at 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts
and has been played more than 900,000,000 times on Spotify and more than 300
million times on YouTube.
