Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. She made her movie debut as the Bond girl in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody began her modeling career after she was approached by an aspiring photographer. The career she pursued has evolved into commercial modelling. Doody was extremely strict about not doing the glamorous work or doing nude. The same rule continued into her acting career. When she was spotted by the director of casting in a James Bond movie, she took a part of A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was on John Willis Screen World Volume 2. Doody's first leading role came in an episode from 1988 of the Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking probably her most high-profile part to date as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. Following her move to Hollywood Doody was famous. She was replaced by Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson part. Doody then appeared as Flannery Sheen's lover and agent, opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody was a part of The 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony for an award. In 2004, she appeared with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 pamphlet on the Holocaust. Doody appeared on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Then, she appeared on RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to play the lead role in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way. She was given the Almeria film award on November 21, 2018.
