Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and discovered her love to sprint during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix placed second in the 200 meters race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school having signed a professional contract with the sports company Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. She was the youngest to win the 200-meter race in the world championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She was able to defend her record once again in 2007, defeating time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes in each of her events.
